TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (April 30, 2021) — The Personal Insurance Federation of Florida (PIFF), alongside the Consumer Protection Coalition, is taking to Tallahassee airwaves to express concerns about a bill that will increase auto insurance rates for Floridians. Together, the groups are running radio ads on Tallahassee’s WFLA station to explain why — as proposed — PIP repeal is problematic. The 30-second ad explains how PIP repeal will drive up insurance premiums for Floridians and lead to more uninsured drivers on the road.

“Florida lawmakers are considering bills that would force you to buy more auto insurance, costing you a whole lot more money.
“Your premiums could skyrocket between $165 to $876 annually, one study found.
“These bills would lead to more uninsured drivers on our roads. And they fail to address excessive auto accident lawsuits that are really driving up costs.
“Tell your legislator to put the brakes on House Bill 719 and Senate Bill 54 and put consumers first.
“Visit the Consumer Protection Coalition at www.fightfraud.today to learn more and sign the petition.”
